Our Science text book is divided up into four units of study. We'll start off with Unit A, which is about life forms. In this unit, we'll learn how to classify plants, animals, and other life forms. We'll learn the make up of plant and animal cells, of which we'll make a model as a science project. We'll learn how animals reproduce and change, as well as adapt for survival. How these life forms interact to form an ecosystem is also in these chapters. The next unit is Unit C. In this unit, our focus is on Earth Science. We'll learn how the earth is changing, the resources found in the earth, the climate and weather around Earth, and finally Astronomy. After Units A and C have been read, we'll have our CRT and NeSA tests (around late March or April). After this testing, we'll come back to our other two units. Unit B is about Physical Science. In this unit, we'll learn about matter, motion, and different types of energies. Our final unit is Unit D, which is about the human body. We'll study the make up of two body systems and how to live a healthy life. |
